Japanese Style Tofu and Shiitake Soup
Japan's simplified elegance: a perfect umami broth with silky tofu, earthy shiitake mushrooms and fresh spinach. Comforting and light.

✓Tofu sedoso300g

✓Hongos shiitake secos40g

✓Caldo de pollo1L

✓Espinacas frescas200g

✓Salsa de soja4 cucharadas

✓Sake3 cucharadas

✓Mirin2 cucharadas

✓Cebollino30g
-
✓Semillas de sésamo2 cucharadas

✓Salal gusto

✓Pimienta blancaal gusto
Instructions

Soak dried shiitake mushrooms in hot water for 30 minutes.

Strain soaking water and reserve. Cut mushrooms into strips.

Boil chicken broth with mushroom water.

Add soy sauce, sake and mirin. Cook 5 minutes.

Add shiitake mushrooms and cook 10 more minutes.

Add cubed tofu and spinach.

Cook 3 minutes until spinach softens.

Season with salt and white pepper.

Serve in individual hot bowls.

Decorate with chopped chives and sesame seeds.

Accompany with Japanese white rice.
